Style Chronicles – Drugstore Makeup Video

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a good weekend. Today I have something a little different to share with you. This is the second post in my new “style” category (you can view the first here). Typically I will be photographing my friends for this category, but I did want to make one video to talk about some drugstore products I’ve been really happy with lately.

I hope you enjoy this – I had a lot of fun making it! (Bloopers at the end…)

Thanks for watching! Keep in mind that these products work really well for me, but everyone’s skin is different so the results may vary.

Have a great Monday!

I’m still using the CoverGirl mascara you recommended while we were walking around Target. It’s my favourite! :)

Oh good :) I totally thought of that conversation too while I was getting ready for this!

I’m so glad you are branching out beyond the kitchen! Very good tips, and great bloopers. Can’t wait for the next one.

Thanks so much Maren! I was nervous about posting this, so I really appreciate your encouragement :)

I really enjoyed this post. You are too cute. The first thing I noticed was how incredible your hair looks in the video, then your eye shadow and skin and so I was super excited to hear your recommendations for beauty products. I have used that same Ponds Night Time Cream for years and adore it. I am looking forward to trying out the dark circle reducer and the serum. I can’t recall the exact product names at the moment, so I’ll have to re-watch the video with a pen and paper. Love your blog, keep posting please! P.S. The bloopers were too funny.

Oh Renée….you are so sweet. Thank you for your comment and the nice things you said about my hair etc! I didn’t mention in the video, but I’ve been using Aveda products for my hair, and I bought the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette and I LOVE both of those (although they are more pricey than drugstore). Also, normally I don’t like to wear foundation but I was wearing the CoverGirl “Clean” one for this video. I don’t always like how it looks in real life though so didn’t talk about it.

I hope you guys are adjusting well and loving the sunny weather in your new location! :)
